Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions efficiently.
- Assemble, adjust, and test machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Work from technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to complete tasks accurately.
- Support production teams to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operation.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe working environment in line with health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in an industrial, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with assembly, installation, and maintenance of industrial machinery.
- Practical, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Health and safety awareness and adherence to safe working practices.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with CNC or automated machinery.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, or other mechanical systems.
- Relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds).
