Job summary

A local recruitment agency in Kirkcaldy is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to perform equipment repairs and servicing. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical/electrical qualification or proven experience and will work Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 16:00. The role offers £21 per hour with overtime available. Immediate starts are available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Mechanical/Electrical Qualification (such as NVQ) or proven experience.
• Previous mechanical fitting working experience.
• Experience and knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Experience with interpreting engineering drawings.
• Knowledge and experience of pressure systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out equipment repairs and servicing according to maintenance schedules.
• Request necessary spare parts to facilitate efficient repairs.

Job description

Here at Connect Appointments we have a new opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Kirkcaldy based client.

As Mechanical Fitter, your day-to-day role will be carrying out equipment repairs and servicing on a range of equipment and machinery in accordance with the approved maintenance schedules. You'll ensure any necessary spare parts are requested in order to facilitate efficient repairs.

The ideal Mechanical Fitter will have:

• Mechanical/Electrical Qualification (such as NVQ) or proven experience
• Previous mechanical fitting working experience
• Experience and knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment
• Experience with interpreting engineering drawings
• Knowledge and experience of pressure systems

What to expect from the role?

• Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 16:00 - with an early Friday finish
• £21 per hour - paid weekly
• Overtime available - paid at £31.50 per hour
• Immediate starts available
