Sulzer, a renowned specialist in the repair, rewind, and reclamation of electric motors, pumps, and generators, is excited to offer an opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter at our Ipswich Service Centre. Your main tasks and responsibilities:
  1. Perform repairs on AC & DC motors with precision and expertise.
  2. Conduct meticulous repairs on pumps and gearboxes, ensuring optimal functionality.
  3. Undertake generator repairs and overhauls to meet the highest industry standards.
  4. Demonstrate problem-solving skills to address client issues effectively.
  5. Execute duties with meticulous attention to detail.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Possess a solid technical background in electro/mechanical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of condition monitoring is advantageous.
  • Completion of overhead crane operating training.
  • Possession of a forklift truck licence would be beneficial.
