Seatrax UK manufactures new offshore cranes for the oil, gas, commercial and other industries. These cranes are used on applications worldwide and can range anywhere from 30 Ton to 600 Ton.

Role Description

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our team and contribute to the manufacturing of crane builds and maintenance of facility equipment. This is a full-time, onshore role based at our Great Yarmouth facility

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a critical role in assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems for cranes used in the oil and gas industry. Your expertise will ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. You’ll work as part of a dedicated team to meet production schedules and deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

•Assembly & Installation: Assembling mechanical components and systems, ensuring all parts are correctly installed, fitted, and aligned.

•Maintenance & Repairs: Conducting routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs to crane systems & facility equipment, including hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components.

•Inspection & Quality Control: Performing inspections of machinery and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, ensuring all parts meet specifications and are functioning properly.

•Health & Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety procedures, ensuring safe working practices are maintained at all times.

•Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.

Requirements:

•Mechanical Fitting Qualification: Recognized trade certification in mechanical fitting, engineering, or a related field.

•Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in mechanical fitting, preferably within Product manufacturing or the oil and gas sector.

•Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of mechanical systems, crane technology, hydraulic systems, and their components.

•Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

•Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities for resolving technical issues.

•Team Player: Ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team while maintaining independence and initiative when needed.

•Health & Safety: Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a heavy industrial environment.
