Location: Melton Mowbray (Commutable Distance)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our growing team. Based within a commutable distance of Melton Mowbray, this role offers a mix of both static and mobile work, giving you the chance to develop a wide range of skills and experience across different environments.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is technically minded, eager to develop, and open to learning new skills – particularly within pipework installation and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out mechanical fitting, assembly, installation and maintenance of equipment (pumps, valves etc.).
  • Supporting projects both on-site (workshop) and across customer locations (mobile).
  • Working with precision tools, machinery, and various materials.
  • Learning and assisting with pipework installation and associated systems.
  • Following health & safety standards and company procedures.
  • Delivering high-quality workmanship with attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar mechanical engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and maintenance practices.
  • Willingness to learn and develop pipework skills (full training provided).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to travel locally when required.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Forklift Licence would be an advantage.
  • Able to read and interpret process drawings.
