A leading company in Engineering Services is seeking multiple Mechanical Fitters on a temp to perm basis at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth. Ideal candidates will have a Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification and pleasant interpersonal skills. You will work on diverse mechanical systems and must understand technical drawings. Join a dynamic team and contribute to significant projects in the Defence and Security sectors.

Qualifications

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • MOT, Vehicle building, Mechanics experience beneficial.
  • Understand Technical/Engineering Drawings.
  • Marine Industry knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a variety of mechanical systems including Fluid Pumps and Hydraulic Systems.
  • Install and align new equipment and parts based on engineering drawings.
  • Use workshop machinery for mechanical fittings.

Mechanical Fitter

Are you passionate about all things Mechanical? Do you have a Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification?

gap personnel Exeter are recruiting for multiple Mechanical Fitter on a temp to perm basis for our client based at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth, Devon.

You will be joining a leading company that provides Engineering Services to the Defence, Security, Nuclear and Emergency Servies.

As a Mechanical Fitter you will work on a wide variety of mechanical systems such as Fluid Pumps, Diesel Engineers, Air Pressure and Hydraulic Systems. You will be required to work to Engineering and Technical Drawings to install and align new equipment and parts. You will be required to use workshop machinery to complete specific mechanical fittings.

About you:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Mechanical Engineering Level 3 Qualification
  • MOT, Vehicle building, Mechanics experience (Beneficial)
  • Understanding of Technical/Engineering Drawings
  • Marine Industry knowledge (Beneficial)

Pay & Hours:

  • GBP18.70ph, paid weekly
  • Monday to Thursday (0730am 1530pm) & Friday 0730am 1230pm, 35hours per week.
