Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

FJA are looking to recruit Mechanical Fitters within an Operations team based on-site in the Severn Trent region.

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will report directly to the Mechanical Site Manager. Your responsibilities include installing package plants, pipe fitting, and assisting with site integration. You will join an existing Mechanical team and may need to travel across the Midlands region.

Mechanical Fitter Responsibilities:

• Working to engineering drawings with high accuracy for installation and setup
• Working on screening machinery such as de-watering units, compactors, grit rakes, scraper bridge assemblies, penstocks, valves, pipework, and pumps
• Handling various materials including ductile, plastics, and carbon steel
• Adhering to company SHEQ standards at all times

Requirements:

• Water/Wastewater industry experience
• Driving Licence
• Strong problem-solving skills

Desirable Qualifications:

• NVQ2 / ONC or equivalent
• Certifications such as PASMA, EUSR Water Hygiene, Confined Space, Abrasive Wheels, Manual Handling, MEWP (training can be provided)
