An industrial processor of food waste is seeking a Mechanical Fitter in Broad Campden to ensure high-quality maintenance of processing equipment. Responsibilities include carrying out planned maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and liaising with suppliers. Northwick Power is an industrial processor of food waste located on the north of Gloucestershire close to Chipping Campden. The plant handles a wide range of waste feedstocks using Anaerobic Digestion to create methane, which is used to generate electricity and gas that are exported to the national grids and are 100% renewable. The waste used to produce methane can be in solid, liquid, or sludge form, including packaged or unpackaged items. Acceptable inputs include out-of-date and damaged foods from retailers, supermarkets and factories, food waste from restaurants, pubs and hotels, offices, hospitals and schools, domestic kitchen waste, and waste from food processing factories, plus animal by-products (Category III) from the food industry.
