Job description

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical fitting duties in the workshop with very occasional duties on site, working on rotating equipment. You will be carrying out tasks with a safe approach and offering a service which meets the business's key core values.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carry out the assembly, operation, and testing of pumps and associated rotating equipment.
• Overhaul and repair various types of rotating machinery in our state-of-the-art workshop.
• Collaborate with the global network to ensure the availability of spare parts for efficient operations.
• Undertake occasional field-based assignments, approximately 10% of the time, to provide on-site support and services.

Mechanical Fitter Position Requirements

• You must have completed an apprenticeship, training scheme, or qualification in mechanical engineering or have strong mechanical engineering knowledge and repair techniques.
• Experience working with pumps would be a huge advantage but not essential.
• Proven experience in the assembly, operation, and testing of pumps and associated rotating equipment.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills in the overhaul and repair of rotating machinery.
• Ability to work independently in a workshop-based environment and occasionally in the field.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering excellence.
