Role Summary

We are looking for a capable Mechanical Engineer who can take on end-to-end engineering tasks. You'll be responsible for designing, analysing, maintaining, and improving mechanical systems, machinery, or components. The role suits someone with hands-on mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both on projects and day-to-day engineering issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components and parts using engineering drawings and specifications
  • Perform maintenance, servicing, and repair tasks on machinery
  • Troubleshoot mechanical faults, carry out root cause analysis, and propose improvements
  • Support installation, modification, and optimisation of mechanical systems
  • Collaborate with technical teams, production, and maintenance to ensure machinery runs reliably and efficiently
  • Maintain documentation - parts lists, maintenance logs, mechanical drawings, etc.
  • Adhere to safety standards and best practices in mechanical work
What We're Looking For
  • Mechanical Engineering qualification (e.g. HNC, HND, degree) or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in a mechanical engineering / fitting / maintenance or related role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude - good with tools, understanding of mechanical/electromechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Good problem-solving skills; able to identify faults and work out fixes
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
