Job Description
An excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established company based in Blaydon-On-Tyne!
Starting Salary: £17.50 - £22.00 per hour plus additional enhancements
The Company:
Established 40 years ago, the company is a specialist electrical/mechanical contractor to the electrical supply industry and other large consumers of electricity. The company specialises in the repair and refurbishment of power transformers and associated high voltage plant.
Due to a rapidly expanding order book and customer base, they are now looking to employ a Time Served Mechanical Fitter to work in a small multi-skilled team within high voltage substations throughout the UK.
The Role:
Candidate Requirement:
Although not essential, experience of working on power transformers or within HV substations would be beneficial. A good overall trade knowledge and technical competence are essential.
Additional Information:
Most works will be away from home, with occasional weekend and bank holiday working required. Lodging allowance will be paid while away along with nightly expenses. Pay will be competitive and based on experience. Necessary training will be provided by the company, and the successful applicant may need to carry out authorisation training for various electricity companies throughout the UK.
