Mechanical Fitter
Birmingham
£50,000 - £52,000
Choice of 4on/4off DAYS or 4on/4off Days and nights

My client has been successfully manufacturing for years, with a strong reputation for hiring and retaining maintenance engineers. They are continually innovating and expanding due to a full order book. They are looking to add a Mechanical Fitter to their team. The Engineering Manager, who has been with the company since his apprenticeship, will mentor you and support your career development.

Experience required:

  • Qualified to Level 3 (NVQ/C&G) or completed an apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline
  • Military experience (ex-forces) is advantageous
  • At least 4 years of experience maintaining and repairing special purpose machinery; experience in heavy industry is beneficial but not essential
  • Mechanical competence in hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, belts, chains, etc.
  • Open to mechanical maintenance engineers from manufacturing or ex-military backgrounds, including FMCG, food, plastics, packaging, pharmaceuticals, foundry, brick, distribution, automotive, metals, RAF, Navy, Army, etc.
