Overview

Position: Mechanical Fitters

Location: Birkenhead, Wirral

Package: £19.22 per hour + Overtime £28.83 - £38.44

Hours: 38 hours per week (8am - 4.30pm Monday - Thursday / 8am - 2.30pm Friday)

Contract: Long Term Contracting - PAYE

4Sure Recruitment is proud to be partnered with a heavy engineering client based in Birkenhead. We are currently looking to expand the engineering division with additional Mechanical Fitters to support within the production and labouring department of site.

Responsibilities
  • Working across a busy production department within the Marine sector carrying out heavy mechanical repair and maintenance as well as the workshop areas.
  • Working from technical engineering diagrams to ensure specifications for breakdowns and maintenance is carried out to the highest of standards and H&S.
  • Working across multiple departments and communicating with sub-contractors, suppliers and production management.
  • Admin skills
  • Working at heights / confined spaces
Qualifications
  • Proven capabilities in fault finding, trouble shooting and repair to a wide range of heavy industrial equipment across production and engineering departments
  • Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds certificate or recognised apprenticeship within industrial / engineering environments.
  • Previous experience working at Heights & Confined spaces.
  • The successful candidate should have extensive working knowledge of the procedures and processes undertaken in shipyards / marine; knowledge of shipyard trade skills and their scope of work or for a similar heavy engineering environment.
