Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be located in the specified areas and will leverage military experience to excel as a Mechanical Field Service Technician. Responsibilities include attending commercial sites, conducting mechanical inspections, performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and executing remedial works. All reports and certificates related to tasks must be completed accurately.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Utilise military background to liaise effectively with the Team Manager and customers, providing technical support and identifying opportunities.
  • Maintain an updated work schedule, communicating weekly with the Team Manager.
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of all relevant paperwork, maintaining professionalism.
  • Provide feedback to management and sales teams, contributing to business growth.
  • Participate in audits and site inspections, upholding standards.
  • Manage health and safety issues for yourself and subcontractors, prioritising safety.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on industrial boiler fuelling equipment and control systems.
  • Handle client information confidentially with integrity.
  • Undertake additional work as needed, demonstrating adaptability.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years in a mechanical engineering environment, preferably with military background.
  • Experience in hazardous areas, fuel installations, and tank inspections is advantageous.
Skills:
  • Proficient in online certifications and worksheets, applying IT skills.
  • Organised, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strategic mindset to identify business opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance/Installation, Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship, C&G Mechanical Engineering, HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Optional certifications: CompEx 11, electrical qualifications, OFTEC, Confined Space, Working at Heights.
  • Must hold a clean driving licence.
  • Security clearances (SC, DV, DBS) and a clean criminal record required.
