Mechanical Field Service Engineer (precision engineering) up to c30-40k + Bonus + Car

Permanent - REMOTE ABJ7505

As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer with a background in precision engineering, you will join a strong global maintenance team but work independently to represent the company at customer premises.

As a mechanically biased field service engineer, this role supports the field service team. The role involves installation, service, repair, and calibration of the company's precision measuring equipment.

REMOTE base - Coverage in the customer base in the WEST Midlands / North of the UK (to be discussed)

Ideal location to be based - WEST Midlands or Yorkshire

Key Responsibilities
  • Visit customer sites to:
  • Install precision measuring equipment.
  • Complete service and calibration work.
  • Undertake troubleshooting including fault-finding, diagnosis, and rectification.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and kept in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Apply the Health, Safety & Environmental Policy.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering / maintenance or similar.
  • Experience of fault finding on mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Background in precision engineering with tools and equipment like CMM, Profilometer, Micrometers & Calipers, Optical Comparators, Air Gauges, CNC Machines, Diamond Turning Machines, Electrical Discharge Machines, Autocollimator, Inclinometers, Vibration Isolation Tables, sensor systems (pressure, temp, etc.), digital scale systems, optical measuring systems, hardness testing machines, coordinate measuring machines, vision measuring systems, fixture systems — just for example.
  • Ability to demonstrate compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation.
  • Full valid driving license. ESSENTIAL (field-based role with car).
  • Good interpersonal skills.
Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary up to £35k + NG Bonus (based on company and personal performance during the year) + CAR (Plug-in Hybrid), Pension, REMOTE - 5 days a week.
