Astute's Team is partnering with a leading service company to recruit a Mechanical Field Service Engineer for its sites mainly in Essex and South East.

The Mechanical Field Service Engineer role offers a salary of £46,000 plus a £3,000 travel allowance.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Report to the Mechanical Supervisor and carry out pre-planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical assets, including turbines, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.
  • Provide engineering solutions when immediate spares aren't available, such as retrofitting, reverse engineering, or modifying equipment.
  • Work in line with maintenance techniques and best practices, complying with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance call-outs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection logs.
  • Assist in outage planning, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Supervise contracted labor on site.
Professional Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A Time Served Apprenticeship in a Mechanical Engineering field.
  • Strong experience working with rotating equipment such as Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines, and related equipment.
  • Experience working in a heavy industrial environment (additional details needed).
