Job summary

FFW Site Services Ltd in Haverhill is seeking experienced Mechanical Fabricators to join its specialist engineering and manufacturing team. The role involves fabricating and assembling metal components to engineering specifications.

You will read technical drawings, work with mild steel and stainless steel, and use cutting, drilling, grinding, fitting and welding as required. The team emphasises quality and working with other departments on specialist projects.

Qualifications

FFW Site Services are looking for experienced Mechanical Fabricators to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing business based in Haverhill.

The successful candidates will be responsible for fabricating and assembling mechanical components and structures to engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble metal components and structural assemblies.
• Work with mild steel, stainless steel and other engineering materials.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication specifications.
• Carry out cutting, drilling, grinding, fitting and welding as required.
• Use hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery.
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Work alongside engineering and production teams.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in mechanical fabrication or engineering.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Experience working with metal fabrication equipment.
• Welding experience would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
