What you will be doing:

We are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join Galliford Try.

The Mechanical Estimator will support the business by submitting accurate, competitive tenders to meet client requirements and ensure the company secures sufficient new business for targeted growth. You will work as part of a versatile team on infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects in Clean Water, Wastewater, and Sludge Treatment. Galliford Try has frameworks across all UK Water PLCs with a strong pipeline into AMP.

Your responsibilities include:

• Preparing enquiry schedules and liaising with procurement for quotations.
• Gathering quotations for commercial evaluation.
• Providing necessary information for contract conditions, insurance, bonds, and warranties.
• Producing detailed analytical rate build-ups for Bills of Quantities.
• Refining cost data based on feedback.
• Identifying commercial advantages and risks, and producing risk registers.
• Preparing preliminary cost estimates and tender documents.
• Attending tender meetings and presenting cost information.
