Job summary

Boston Rose Limited in Rochdale is recruiting a Mechanical Engineering Trainer/Assessor for Maintenance & Fitting to join their engineering training team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The role involves delivering workshop-based practical teaching and assessments on Maintenance-centric Mechanical Engineering courses up to level 3 at the main site in Rochdale, including pumps and valves, fault diagnosis and hand fitting; a teaching qualification can be funded if not held.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification or higher.
• Industrial experience in Mechanical Maintenance / Fitting.
• Desire to pass on engineering knowledge.

We are working with an education provider in the Rochdale area who are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Trainer/Assessor for Maintenance & Fitting to join their engineering training team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The job role would consist of delivering workshop-based practical teaching and assessments on Maintenance-biased Mechanical Engineering courses (up to level 3), all at their main site in Rochdale. Teaching topics would include things like the maintenance of pumps/valves, fault diagnosis, and hand fitting.

The starting salary for this position is up to 35,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience), which would also include a contributory pension (5% employee/4% employer), and 33 days holiday per year (inclusive of statutory holidays such as Bank Holidays).

To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:

• A level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification (or higher)
• Industrial experience of Mechanical Maintenance / Fitting
• A desire to pass on your engineering knowledge

Please note that the education provider would be able to put you through (and pay for) your teaching qualification if you do not already have one.
