A leading education provider in the Lake District is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineering Trainer/Assessor for a full-time, permanent role. The position combines training apprentices in Mechanical Maintenance and performing on-site vocational assessments. Mechanical Maintenance Engineering Trainer/Assessor
South Cumbria
Up to 39,000 p/a
Full-time, permanent

We are currently working with an education provider in the beautiful Lake District area who are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineering Trainer/Assessor to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The position would involve delivering level 2/3 Mechanical Maintenance training to apprentices at their main centre in South Cumbria for two days per week, travelling out to the apprentices' workplaces in South Cumbria to do their vocational assessments for two days per week, and you would have the remaining day for preparation work. The working week may change as per business requirements, but the teaching/assessment split should be even across the year.

The starting salary would be up to 39,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience), and you would also get a salary sacrifice pension (up to 8% employee/10% employer), business mileage payments (45p per mile), and a holiday allocation of 36/37 days (including Bank Holidays).

To apply for the role, you MUST have:
-a level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification
-industrial experience of hands-on Mechanical Maintenance work
-a passion for passing on your engineering knowledge
-a full UK driving licence

While the education provider are ideally looking for someone who has teaching and assessment qualifications, they would be more than happy to take a candidate from industry and fully fund them through their educational qualifications on the job.
