Overview

Mechanical Engineer / CapEx Project Manager – South Wales

£50,000 - £65,000 + Bonus + International Travel + 33 Days Holiday + Pension + Free lunches + Free Fruit

Excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with experience of managing capital upgrade or installation projects to join a growing, award-winning engineering company that are establishing a new production facility overseas.

On offer is the chance to join a growing company in a challenging and autonomous role in which you will lead the project through to operational delivery. Based in South Wales, this company are among the fastest growing manufacturers in the UK and have been consistent in their success since the start. Having won multiple awards and achieved international recognition for their unique and innovative products they have recently seen an exciting period of growth. Due to their ongoing commercial success they need to expand their production capabilities and are looking to take on a Project Manager to oversee the design, build and commissioning of a new production facility overseas.

In this role you will be responsible for managing the build, testing and commissioning of the new production line. The line will initially be built in South Wales but once fully tested you will plan and oversee the relocation and commissioning of the line to an overseas facility. You will need to liaise closely with international project partners, as well as with suppliers and internal engineering teams. Once the new line is fully commissioned overseas you will coordinate the UK support for the overseas site and continue to work on new mechanical engineering projects and two further international expansion projects.

This is the ideal role for a someone with a strong mechanical engineering and project management background looking for a challenging role with one of the most exciting manufacturers in the UK.
