A leading UK energy producer is seeking a motivated individual for a 13-month industrial placement in their Rotating Equipment Team. This opportunity, starting in June 2026, involves working with Mechanical Engineers, data analysis, and gaining valuable on-site experience. A salary of £25,250 annually with additional benefits is offered, including retirement savings and comprehensive health support.

RWE Generation’s Engineering and Outage (E&O) group supports our portfolio of gas-fired power stations across Europe. The Rotating Equipment team is responsible for the technical engineering strategy, performance and risk management for gas turbines and steam turbines within the RWE gas division portfolio. A placement with the Rotating Equipment team will allow you to work within this dynamic and international group of engineers, and will be based either at RWE’s UK head office in Swindon or at one of RWE’s UK power station sites. You will also have opportunities to support the rest of the fleet remotely, and will have benefit from being able to visit and work at sites other than your base location.

The Assessment Centre will take place on Thursday 27th November 2025 face to face in Swindon at RWE UK Head Office.
Accommodation will be booked on your behalf and travel subsidised by RWE. The evening prior to the Assessment Centre a meal will be held in Swindon of which you will be required to attend.
