Job summary

Leonardo is offering a Mechanical Engineering Degree Apprenticeship combining paid study with on-the-job learning at multiple UK sites. You will rotate within the business, work on real projects with engineers, and progress through placed modules while attending university for a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering.

The programme emphasises safety, process compliance and hands-on development, with a clear path to a professional engineering qualification and career growth within Leonardo.

Qualifications

• 104 UCAS Points to include at least 2 STEM subjects (3 C's at A' Level or T Level core pass C or equivalent qualification)
• Plus 5 GCSE grades 9-4 / A* - C or equivalent, must include Maths, English and a Science

Responsibilities

• Support different aspects of mechanical engineering to gain experience and knowledge, before moving into final placement.
• Design and test new and existing products, learning the engineering lifecycle and applying problem-solving skills.
• Attend university on a mix of day and block release to complete the degree apprenticeship (ST0025).
• Record learning activities and evidence to demonstrate competency during placements and final project.
• During apprenticeship, spend 3–4 days per week on site to maximise learning.
