To support the management of the Mechanical maintenance department and ensure:
- Highest standards of H&S are continually followed
- Legislative compliance is fulfilled
- Utilization of best practice maintenance techniques to maximize asset availability
- Support for PM11 Mechanical Responsible across all duties
- A valid driving license is advantageous due to location
Main Responsibilities
- Health & Safety: Follow site H&S procedures, report issues immediately, promote standards, lead investigations, ensure legislative compliance, and audit safety standards.
- Environmental: Manage environmental aspects, follow procedures, report issues, and maintain environmental critical equipment.
- Quality: Maintain quality-critical equipment, suggest innovations, and audit maintenance activities.
- Specific Tasks: Support maintenance planning, manage spare parts, create SOPs, RAMS, work instructions, update Maximo data, support shutdowns, and coordinate external support.
- Reliability: Facilitate RCA investigations, support maintenance improvements, develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and define long-term asset strategies.
University Criteria
- 96 UCAS Points, including mathematics and a science subject at Level 3
- Five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English, Mathematics, and Science
- HND/C in engineering considered for entry to level HE5, depending on subjects and maths/science level
- Attendance at university one day a week, with remaining time in the workplace
- Additional assessments or interviews may be required
