Develop your skills by working on real life projects whilst also being supported on a guided learning journey. This will be a 4-year apprenticeship where you will be put onto the Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Standard at Furness College.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Year 1 will be spent full time at college where you will achieve Level 2 qualifications in fitting using hand skills.
• During Years 2 - 4, college will be on a day release basis as required for the qualification where you will study towards the appropriate Level 3 Manufacturing Engineering Technical Certificate. Whilst in work, there may be an opportunity to rotate through the Engineering departments of the business, to gain all the specific skills and knowledge that you and our business need.
• The development, building, and testing of Subsea Connectors and associated products.
• Have the chance to work in a variety of departments and develop skills in manufacturing, applications and development, and production engineering.
• Develop your planning, delivery, and quality skills by working alongside skilled professionals.

What You Bring:

• A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above (English, Maths, Science + 1 other). If you do not yet have your GCSE results, please enter predicted grades on the application form.
• You think logically, are willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem-solving.
• You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions.
• You can work independently, safely, and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change.

Siemens Energy Subsea is an award-winning facility based in Ulverston and is responsible for developing, designing, and manufacturing Subsea Connectors for the global oil & gas industry.
