Job Description

This is not an entry level or graduate role. It's ideal if you have experience in your first Mechanical Engineer position within the water industry.

You will join the Leeds office of a well-regarded water industry consultancy, closely working with water authorities, the Environment Agency, and Flood Authorities. The firm is involved in a variety of unique and technically interesting projects across the country.

As a Leeds-based Mechanical Engineer working on water-related projects, you should have experience in:

  1. Producing a scope of works and feasibility studies
  2. Initial and detailed design drawings
  3. Carbon reduction initiatives, both embodied and in-use
  4. Writing performance specifications
  5. Reviewing tender responses
  6. Carrying out site supervision, including acceptance testing and commissioning

Requirements include a degree in Mechanical Engineering (2.1 or above) and experience with water control structures, pumping stations, and systems, as well as water transfer, screening, drives, lifting systems, and materials handling.
