Job Overview
  • Ensure service delivery provides and maintains statutory, mandatory, and routine compliance always, with readily available evidence.
  • Develop and maintain a process of continual improvement through efficiency, added value, and best-in-class delivery.
  • Contribute positively to account performance in terms of revenue, profit, and cash.
  • Develop, foster, and maintain open and honest relationships with key stakeholders, including within the Trust and SPV.
  • Build and sustain relationships with key Mitie stakeholders and delivery partners.
Main Duties
  • Undertake plumbing maintenance/reactive jobs in a healthcare setting, including mechanical planned and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in environments critical to health, safety, and hygiene.
  • Develop and enforce water hygiene policies and procedures according to industry regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and workspaces to identify hygiene risks.
  • Oversee or perform cleaning and disinfection processes, ensuring thoroughness and adherence to protocols.
  • Use specialized equipment, cleaning agents, and disinfectants safely and effectively.
  • Stay updated on hygiene practices, technologies, and regulations.
  • Follow safety, hygiene, and environmental guidelines.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to water hygiene standards and processes.
  • Respond promptly and competently in emergency situations.
  • Maintain a presentable and approachable manner.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Escalate issues with reactive jobs or PPMs to supervisors for rectification.
  • Report on mechanical plant condition to assist in lifecycle management.
  • Complete work-related documentation accurately and on time.
  • Ensure safety and quality compliance, including application of Mitie's LiveSafe procedures, reporting hazards, and adhering to RIDDOR regulations.
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to the position grade.
  • Work safely in hazardous areas, taking all safety measures to prevent injury or damage.
  • Complete job-specific training and assist in training others, including attending residential courses if required.
What We Are Looking For
  • Basic to intermediate IT skills.
  • Initiative and a strong sense of social responsibility to achieve high standards in healthcare.
  • Experience in healthcare premises is helpful but not essential.
  • Adherence to health and safety policies, including documentation and permit systems.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills, with high customer care standards.
  • Plumbing and mechanical experience; onsite training available.
  • Professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Willingness to undertake further training as required.
