Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer who wants to move into teaching. The role offers a fully funded training pathway from Level 3 to Level 5 alongside a full salary, enabling you to share real-world engineering knowledge with learners.

You will train while working, mentoring learners and apprentices, and developing engaging schemes of work. You’ll build links with employers and help shape future engineering talent in Bradford.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on mechanical engineering background.
• Willingness to complete a funded teaching qualification.
• Good communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply the full teaching cycle in line with the Education Inspection Framework.
• Bring real-world engineering practice into classroom and workshop, embedding safe practices.
• Develop schemes of work and session plans delivering an engaging curriculum.
• Build and maintain relationships with employers and offer training solutions.
• Support learners at every stage of their programme and mentor apprentices.
