Job summary

Anderson Wright Consulting is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Surveyor to perform statutory inspections of pressure systems and steam plant across Bedfordshire and surrounding areas. This home-based role emphasizes client-facing service and accurate inspection reporting.

You will inspect boilers, pressure vessels and compressors, ensure PSSR compliance, and manage a flexible diary while delivering clear, technical reports for clients.

Qualifications

• HNC or Level 4 qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience working with pressure systems.
• Experience with steam boilers, steam plant, compressors or pressure vessels.
• UK driving licence is essential.
• Comfortable in customer-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out statutory inspection and certification of pressure systems.
• Inspect steam boilers, steam plant, pressure vessels and compressors.
• Ensure compliance with PSSR (Pressure Systems Safety Regulations).
• Cover customer sites across Bedfordshire.
• Manage your own diary (home based).
• Provide technical support and clear inspection reports.
