Mechanical Engineer Surveyor / Inspection Engineer

Home / Field based You can live anywhere in North Scotland – Inverness, Wick, Orkney Islands, Lossiemouth, Thurso

Salary circa £40,000 + car + pension + 26 days holiday + bank holidays + benefits + training

Hours Mon – Fri daytime

Experience:

Must have hands-on experience with:

Lifting & handling equipment & machinery, materials handling, mechanical handling, overhead cranes, etc.
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering discipline
You may be a maintenance or service engineer seeking a more ‘off the tools’ role.
Ex-forces background can be ideal but not essential - Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers (REME), RAF, Army, Navy, Marine Engineer.

Duties:

Home-based, carry out surveys and inspections on a wide range of industrial, commercial, and manufacturing plant and machinery.
Ensure equipment is safe, fit for use, and complies with legislation (LOLER, PUWER, PSSR, COSHH).
Write and complete reports.
You will be assigned varied and interesting work and companies to visit in your region but will have the freedom to plan and manage your own work.
