Job description

Mechanical Engineer Surveyor / Inspection Engineer

Home / Field based: You can live in Oldham or surrounding areas (+ 10 miles)

Salary: circa GBP40,000 + car + pension + expenses + benefits + training

Hours: Mon-Fri daytime

Experience:

Must have hands-on experience in:

  • Lifting & handling equipment & machinery, materials handling, mechanical handling, overhead cranes, etc.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Ex Forces background can be ideal but not essential - Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers (REME), RAF, Army, Navy, Marine Engineer.

Duties:

  • Homebased, carry out surveys and inspections on a wide range of industrial, commercial, and manufacturing plant and machinery.
  • Ensure equipment is safe and fit for use & complies with legislation (LOLER, PUWER, PSSR, COSHH).
  • Write / complete reports.
  • You will be assigned work / companies to visit in your region.
