Mechanical Engineer

Location: Sunderland, Tyne & Wear

Type: Permanent Role

Salary: £20,000 - £30,000

One of our leading clients is looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer.

My client is flexible on qualifications and number of years of experience - they are more interested in finding someone who has a real interest in working in an engineering environment and enjoys taking equipment apart, repairing, fixing, calibrating, and reassembling.

Experience Required:
  1. Qualifications such as NVQ or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or relevant working experience in an engineering role.
  2. Flexible on number of years of experience - could have just finished an apprenticeship or have had a career as an Engineer.
  3. Enthusiastic, keen to learn, and solve problems.
  4. Great communication skills - will be working in a team environment and also have interactions with customers.
  5. Some experience in an engineering environment (any sector - engineering, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, etc).
Desirable:
  1. Any electrical engineering knowledge would be a bonus, although this can be learnt on the job.
