My Client is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer/Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Water Sector.

They have an extensive portfolio of UK, Overseas and Globally delivered projects, helping clients address asset creation, process improvement, and plant optimisation needs. Their locally focused teams incorporate expert electrical, ICA, process, mechanical, and civil engineers who provide a multidisciplinary approach to solving our clients' problems in innovating, creative, managing, building, and investing in water and wastewater infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and/or contribute to feasibility, outline, and detailed design projects.
  • Develop fee bids for tendering/bidding on projects.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients within the UK and worldwide.
  • Take ownership of specific 'skill areas' or activities within our technical knowledge networks.
  • Support and mentor, with the possibility of formal line management responsibilities.
  • Contribute to new innovative ideas and suggest innovations.
  • Present project work at company meetings or conferences.
  • Work with and develop digital tools and products.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree-qualified in mechanical engineering.
  • Ideally a Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
  • UK water/wastewater industry experience.
  • Developing external profile and reputation; willing to raise own and company's profile.
  • Willing to contribute to and develop technical knowledge networks.
