Job Description:

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Queen Mary University – Covering 3 sites only.

I am currently representing an excellent building services company in need of a Semi Static Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to operate across 3 campuses at Queen Mary University in East London.

The company has over 150 staff, including engineers in heating, cooling, electrical, mechanical, and general M&E maintenance disciplines.

Site cluster:

All sites are within 1 square mile of each other in Mile End/Whitechapel, London.

In this role, you will be responsible for a cluster of sites, carrying out visual checks and maintenance on:

  • AHUs, Humidifiers, Temperature control monitoring, Fan Coil Units, Pumps & Motors, General Mechanical PPMs, heating/hot water systems.

Requirements: NVQ Level 2 qualification minimum, plumbing/mechanical bias.

Package:

  • £40,000 to £50,000 basic salary
  • Van, fuel card, uniform, tablet, phone, and training provided
  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week with half-hour lunch
  • Private use of van allowed
  • Overtime available
  • Call out on a 1 in 7 basis, with £200/week retainer, paid at 1.5x door-to-door
  • 28 days holiday per year
  • Engineer provides own hand tools
  • Company pension scheme
  • 6-month probation period
  • Weekly or monthly pay options
