Job Description

The role: Our recent growth and success have created the need to expand our team, and we are now looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer.

You will be working as a day-to-day reactive mechanical engineer. Daily tasks will include repairing pipework, replacing basins and toilets, working in plant rooms, etc. You will be working inside the prison establishment, so you must be comfortable in this environment. You may also be required to work elsewhere; we operate across the public and private sectors, including educational establishments, hospitals, high-security prisons, social housing, etc.

You must also be able to pass a strict vetting process, have a DBS (we can assist with obtaining this if needed), NVQ Level 3, and CSCS are desirable.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2 or 3
• CSCS
• Full UK Drivers Licence and own transport & tools
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to deliver quality work on time
• DBS clearance (essential, assistance available if needed)

You must:

• Have previous experience as a mechanical engineer
• Speak fluent English
• Be able to pass background checks and vetting procedures for prison access
• Operate power tools
• Be hardworking, punctual, and reliable
• Have a good work ethic
• Be respectful towards clients and the public

• Provide full references
