rhames Ltd is one of the UK's leading electro-mechanical specialists within industries that require separation technology, manufacturing, and associated new equipment. Operating from its headquarters in Nottingham and various locations across the UK, rhames provides clients with turn-key design, project management, manufacturing, and maintenance services. Due to ongoing expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer/Technician. Our main premises are located in Nottingham, with positions available in Peterborough, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridge.

Main Purpose

Maximize the operating efficiency of machinery through maintenance and installation at customer sites across the UK.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Mechanical installations for the process industry, including maintenance of centrifuges, drum thickeners, and bell presses.
  • Perform regular testing and maintenance of machinery.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to foster good working relationships.
  • Resolve problems in a timely manner.
Essential Experience

Experience in mechanical maintenance is desired, especially with confined spaces and centrifuges. Minimum of 3 GCSEs or equivalent. Skills include adaptability, flexibility, problem-solving, excellent organizational skills, motivation, and teamwork.
