rhames Ltd are one of the UK's leading electro-mechanical specialists within industries that require separation technology, manufacturing, and associated new equipment. rhames operates from its centrally based headquarters in Nottingham and various other locations throughout the UK to provide our clients with turn-key design, project management, manufacturing, and maintenance services. Due to continual expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer / Technician. Our premises are located in Nottingham, but we have positions available in the Midlands Region.

Main purpose:

Maximising the operating efficiency of machinery, including maintenance and installation at customer sites across the UK.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Mechanical installations for the process industry, including maintenance of centrifuges, drum thickeners, and bell presses.
  • Carrying out regular testing and maintenance of machinery.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Working with others and contributing to effective working relationships.
  • Resolving problems in a timely manner.
Essential Experience of Mechanical Maintenance

Desired - Confined Space certification.

Desired experience working with centrifuges.

  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs or equivalent.
  • Adaptable and flexible.
  • Problem solver.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Highly motivated and a team player.
