Job Opportunity: Mechanical Engineer in Bristol

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer seeking a new opportunity in Bristol? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management company for a skilled engineer to join their team on a large site in Bristol.

Position Details:

• Role: Static Mechanical Engineer
• Location: Bristol
• Salary: £35,600 per annum

Working Hours:

7am - 3:30pm, alternating with 10am - 6:30pm

Role Overview:

As a Facilities Maintenance Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of air conditioning systems on a large site in Bristol. Your duties will include diagnosing faults, conducting repairs, and ensuring HVAC equipment operates efficiently to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine inspections of mechanical systems and equipment
• Developing maintenance schedules and procedures
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues
• Part replacement and component repairs
• Responding promptly to maintenance emergencies
• Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records
• Coordinating with maintenance staff and contractors
• Recommending improvements for efficiency
• Staying updated with industry developments and providing staff training

Qualifications and Experience:

• Level 2/3 qualification in mechanical discipline (air conditioning, plumbing, mechanical engineering, pipefitting, fitting)
