Job summary

Hoare Lea is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Leeds office. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality mechanical designs across diverse projects in the built environment.

The role involves producing specifications, calculations and reports, using Revit and AutoCAD, and presenting solutions to clients. You’ll contribute to innovative, sustainable design while meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering mechanical design for complex projects.
• Understanding of all mechanical services including heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
• Experience in a multi-disciplinary environment with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed mechanical design advice to clients and projects.
• Develop specifications, calculations and reports for mechanical systems.
• Design mechanical systems using latest software.
• Take responsibility for technical delivery, solo or in a team.
• Identify innovative approaches and stay ahead of competitors.
• Produce calculations, reports and specifications with clear writing.
• Attend design meetings and site inspections.
• Manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
