Job description

If so, become a Mechanical Engineer II with our client, a leading engineering firm in Camden County, NJ!

Responsibilities:
  • Design energy-efficient HVAC & Mechanical Systems tailored to project specifications.
  • Perform Load Analysis & Energy Modeling using eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR, or Carrier HAP.
  • Create and review technical drawings in AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring compliance with NFPA, Joint Commission, and other relevant codes.
  • Coordinate with architects, facility owners, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Oversee construction activities, conduct site surveys, review shop drawings, and support during construction phases.
  • Mentor junior engineers and trainees, fostering technical growth.
  • Assist in client communications, proposals, and project management tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC & Mechanical Design for critical care and laboratory facilities.
  • Proficiency with energy modeling tools such as eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR, or Carrier HAP.
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and codes, including NFPA and local/state regulations.
  • Excellent time management, adaptability, and ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills, with experience in reports and presentations.
  • Ability to work onsite in Camden County, NJ, at least 3 days per week.
  • Actively working towards Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
