Job Description:

We have a Fixed Term Contract opportunity for a Mechanical or Senior Mechanical Engineer within our NPI team, where you will be working with a wider technology team to complete concept designs through to production.

We are offering an opportunity to work with interesting and varied technology, exposing you to low temperature (cryogenics) and superconducting magnet systems.

The opportunity

You will be responsible for ensuring that projects meet the technical requirements of our customers, as well as providing technical support for the manufacture, installation and ongoing lifecycle of our products. You will work on the mechanical designs, using CAD, CAE and analysis tools to ensure safety and functionality are fully considered. Suggesting technical design improvements and value engineering, to optimise costs, operations and service friendliness is also a requirement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience as a Mechanical Engineer, working on complex systems, with the ability to produce robust CAD models and drawings that comply with quality standards. You will also have experience in the use of FEA, FMEA, and risk analysis, with a sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
