Job description

KONE is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Escalator Installation team in Keighley, with projects nationwide.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure safe, high-quality, and timely installation of equipment following KONE installation methods.
• Report installation progress to the installation supervisor.
• Receive, check, and store materials properly.
• Maintain installation tooling safety and condition, ensure the security of delivered equipment, and uphold a safe working environment.
• Submit reports on timekeeping, quality feedback, and warranty claims for materials.
• Contribute to product improvement through feedback to the supply line.
• Manage on-site communication with customers regarding installation and logistics.
• Coordinate with builders to prevent installation interruptions.
• Assist in training or coaching trainees and helpers as required by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent health and safety knowledge.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Clean UK driving license (KONE provides a van).
