Job description

FULL TIME – 40 HOURS
Salary: Competitve (Subject to knowledge and experience)
Earning Potential: OTE circa £46,800 with overtime and out-of-hours work

Job Summary

Due to ongoing growth, Corrigenda is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Commercial Mechanical Engineer to carry out a broad range of mechanical installations across Hampshire and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team. They will need to have a high level of experience in delivering projects from handover to completion and will be required to work across a variety of commercial sites such as offices, schools, hospitals, fire stations, and other public sector buildings.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Assist with installation of equipment and associated pipework within new/refurbished plant rooms
  • Testing and commissioning of new installations
  • Installation of ASHPs for decarbonization scheme projects
  • Hot/Cold water pipework upgrades
  • Heating system upgrades
  • Installation of chiller units and associated equipment/pipework
  • Work on own or as part of team to meet required deadlines and contract performance standards
  • Work flexible working hours to suit business requirements
  • Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, end users on site and general public at all times
  • Represent the company in a presentable and professional manner
  • Liaise with site staff to gain access to sites and rooms to carry out works
  • Assist Project Manager to produce materials lists and escalate site issues immediately
  • Overcome unforeseen installation issues on site
  • Any other tasks required by company within skill set / experience
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications

Knowledge, Experience and Skills Essential

  • NVQ 2/3 in relevant Mechanical discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Unvented water systems
  • WRAS Qualification
  • Recognised Health & Safety training
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Be able to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Pass DBS / Police background checks for working in schools / Police stations
