Salary: £29,000 – £36,000

A specialist Building Services Engineering Design Consultancy in Manchester are seeking a specialist Mechanical Design Engineer to join them on a range of projects within the built environment. You’ll be using Integrated Environmental Solutions and focussing on building performance analysis to contribute to a range of commercial, industrial, manufacturing, logistic, retail and residential projects.

You’ll be carrying out energy modelling and building simulation using IES VE, completing projects for Part L compliance, carrying out SAP assessments, contributing to business development, mentoring junior team members and liaising with clients.

This Building Physics Consultant role offers:

Requirements to be considered for this Building Physics Consultant role include:

  • Experience using Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES VE) building simulation software and experience completing projects for EPCS, CIBSE TM59/52 overheating analysis and Part L compliance.
  • Have demonstratable building physics experience.
  • A degree in building physics, environmental engineering or a similar relevant subject.
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations, energy codes and planning requirements.
  • (Ideally) IES Accreditation and/or OCDEA/LCC/LCEA qualifications.
  • Live in or commutable to Manchester.
