Job summary

GMP Recruitment Agency Ltd. is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team and work across the full product lifecycle—from concepts and research through design, manufacture, installation and commissioning.

You will design mechanical systems, produce detailed drawings, perform engineering calculations and support cross-functional teams to deliver technically challenging projects. A strong foundation in mechanics and CAD is essential.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or equivalent).
  • Around five years’ experience in a mechanical engineering role.
  • Experience across the product development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
  • Experience using 2D and 3D CAD software, ideally SolidWorks (or AutoCAD).
  • Familiarity with engineering analysis software such as ANSYS, ProMechanica or similar.
  • Experience using MATLAB, Excel or LabVIEW.
  • Strong understanding of mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics and materials science.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience working with dynamometer systems or test equipment.

  • Keep up to date with new engineering technologies, methods and industry best practice.

About the Role

What We’re Looking For
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or equivalent).
  • Around five years’ experience in a mechanical engineering role (applications from candidates with varying levels of experience are welcome).
  • Experience working across the product development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
  • Experience using 2D and 3D CAD software, ideally SolidWorks (or similar such as AutoCAD).
  • Familiarity with engineering analysis software such as ANSYS, ProMechanica or similar.
  • Experience using engineering and mathematical analysis tools such as MATLAB, Excel or LabVIEW.
  • A strong understanding of engineering fundamentals including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics and materials science.
