Job summary

HVAC Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management team on a prestigious commercial contract in Liverpool.

This site-based role focuses on PPM and reactive maintenance of mechanical building services, including heating, air conditioning, pumps, motors and valves, with emphasis on L8 compliance and RAMS. CAFM record keeping and strong client relations are key.

Qualifications

• Formal mechanical engineering qualification required.
• FM / Building Services experience preferred.
• Experience with pumps, motors and valves is essential.
• Knowledge of L8 and general H&S requirements.
• BMS experience is desirable but not essential.
• Strong IT and CAFM experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical PPM and reactive maintenance on-site.
• Work on heating and air-conditioning systems.
• Maintain pumps, motors and valves on building services.
• Manage domestic water systems and L8 compliance.
• Perform fault finding and reactive repairs.
• Keep accurate CAFM records and updates.
• Follow RAMS and site procedures for safety.
• Build strong relationships with client and engineering team.

This is a great opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer looking for a stable site-based role, working across a varied range of mechanical building services with a strong focus on PPM and reactive maintenance.

The Role
