Job description
Overview

Mechanical Engineer (Hybrid – Warwick)

Private Healthcare | 25 days holiday + BH | Income Protection & Death in Service | Development Pathways | Company Car & Cycle to Work Schemes

Are you the kind of engineer who solves problems from first principles — not from templates? We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join a specialist engineering consultancy working across automotive, aerospace, defence, and autonomous systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on technical depth, analytical rigour, and elegant problem-solving — the kind of engineer who enjoys the challenge of balancing theory with practical delivery.

You'll be part of a small, high-performing team where the expectation is excellence. You'll take ownership of your own projects, moving fluidly between concept generation, design development, analytical modelling and simulation. Each day brings new technical challenges that demand sharp reasoning, precise execution and the ability to deliver complex solutions autonomously.

What You'll Do
  • Engineer complex systems and components from concept through release
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques — FEA, MBD, and mathematical modelling
  • Develop design solutions grounded in first-principles thinking and validated through rigorous analysis
  • Contribute across diverse sectors — from high-performance automotive to aerospace and defence innovation
  • Present technical findings clearly and confidently to clients and project teams
Who You Are

You're an exceptional problem solver who combines creativity with technical mastery. You likely hold a strong MEng, MSc or PhD in Mechanical, Automotive or Aerospace Engineering, backed by excellent A-levels in Maths and Physics. You&aposre confident moving between CAD, simulation and hand calculations — and take satisfaction in understanding why things work, not just how.

This Role Offers

Hybrid working (Warwick-based), complex technical challenges, cross-sector exposure, and a culture that values curiosity, integrity, and intellectual independence.
