Job description

You re a mechanically-minded engineer who knows the difference between tightening a bolt and fixing the root cause. You ve probably had your fill of reactive chaos. Firefighting every day. Chasing your tail because someone thought duct tape was a long-term solution.

This role isn t that.

It s Monday to Friday. Days. So yes, you get your evenings and weekends back. But more importantly, you ll have the headspace to actually engineer.

Think:

  • Looking at how things can run smoother, longer, and more efficiently.

  • Making changes that stick.

  • Improving machine uptime without working yourself into the ground.

You ll be joining a well-established manufacturing business that genuinely invests in its kit and its people. The machinery's solid, the team knows their stuff, and they re looking for someone who can bring a bit of experience, a bit of initiative, and maybe even a bit of dry wit.

What you ll need:

  • A mechanical background (ideally in FMCG, or some kind of manufacturing)

  • The ability to read a machine like most people read a takeaway menu

  • A bit of common sense and a whole lot of ownership

If you're the kind of engineer who wants to do meaningful work and still make it home for tea this could be a good move.
