About the Role

A leading engineering solutions provider is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers the chance to work on diverse projects within the energy, water treatment, and industrial engineering sectors, ensuring technical compliance and delivering innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and customize mechanical systems, pumps, pressure vessels, and pipework to meet project specifications.
  • Interpret technical requirements and manage project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with project managers to maintain schedules and control costs.
  • Act as the technical interface between stakeholders and suppliers throughout design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
  • Prepare RFQ packages and evaluate supplier proposals for mechanical components.
  • Oversee mechanical aspects of projects, including design validation and supplier technical support.
  • Review and issue technical documents, drawings, and data sheets.
  • Attend factory acceptance tests (FAT) and provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
  • Promote health and safety best practices across all activities.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree (BEng/MEng) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; HNC/HND with relevant experience considered.
  • Familiarity with British Standards, ASME VIII, B31.1, B31.3.
  • Ability to perform calculations such as fluid hydraulics, structural loading, and stress analysis.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and MS Office; experience with STAAD.Pro and AutoPIPE advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
