Summary:
Do youwant to be involved in all stages of project delivery, from feasibility to commissioning?Main responsibilities
Design and specifications for clean/potable water related projects, including treatment plant, pumped systems and pipework, chemical dosing, mixing.
Design/analysis of hydraulic systems, including pump sizing & selection, head loss calculations & system curves, air valve design practices and implications/requirements of surge within a system.
Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems including pressure, flow, level, and analytical instrumentation e.g. chlorine, turbidity, pH instrumentation and control;
Building Engineering Physics and building services – heat, ventilation, noise, moisture.
Interfacing with other disciplines and integration of those requirements with mechanical design
Review of Contractor produced designs & deliverables in accordance with legislation, standards and specifications, and response to Technical Queries
Project delivery under NEC Design & Construct and PSC contracts, and input into these contracts
You'll need:
Skills / Qualifications / Experience
HNC or a Degree in Engineering or equivalent training in the relevant area.
Technically sound/competent and knowing when to refer to others when required
Good technical delivery on projects, with minimal issues/guidance required
Work under pressure and progress work within budget and deadlines,
Ability to work closely with others and communicate effectively,
Engaged in continual professional development and knowledge of current and emerging technologies in the field, with an aim to obtaining professional registration (chartership etc)
Full UK driving license
Good technical report writing and editorial skills, and good oral communication.
Competent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - knowledge of Google Workspace would be beneficial.
